Reverend Benjamin Dorr served as rector for Christ Church from 1839 to 1868, and undertook the difficult job of holding the congregation together during the Civil War. This sermon is marked for Advent, and lays out Reverend Dorr's thoughts on Luke 19:41 and 42, "And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day the things which belong unto thy peace!
