In the minutes of September 1849, it is recorded that the church's name was changed from "Mount Pisgah Baptist Church to "Back Swamp Baptist Church". The minutes are typewritten on loose-leaf pages. On the back of the last minute (1878), it says Ǐ_Name changed to Reynoldson ChurchǏ_.
