Coins from ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods
User CollectionContributing Institution: Claremont School of Theology Library Description: Digital images of ancient Greek, Roman, and Byzantine coins (manufactured between 550 BC to 1300 AD). Some of the coins have connections with biblical stories. Most of the collection is devoted to a series of Roman imperial coinage, with coins representing each of the first twelve Ceasars, as well as several subsequent emperors. A few Byzantine coins are included, minted in Constantinople. The original coins are part of the Curtis Paxman Collection, Claremont School of Theology Library.
